The new Centre intergénérationnel – La Station, located on Nun’s Island, is a unique community center where teenagers and seniors alike are invited to share hours of sport and cultural leisure. La Station is built in the walls of the reallocated Esso gas station at 201, rue Berlioz, in what is now known as a heritage building. The building was conceived by world renowned architect, Mies van der Rohe.
Teenagers (12 to 18 years old) and seniors (50 years and older) are invited to participate in projects and activities based on their interests and hobbies. La Station is manage by, for, and with the teenagers and seniors of Verdun, borough of Nun’s Island.
